Five years, Onee-sama.
It was five years ago that we made a connection, a spontaneous (some might argue crazy) decision to becomes Soeurs, and look at us now. We're still going strong, just like we said we would. Different time zones, different lives don't allow day to day interaction, but just knowing that you're going to be there when I reach out a hand is simply the most amazing feeling. ♥
You, Carina, are my role-model. I respect you, as a mentor, as a sister, as a friend and as a woman. I go to you for advice, because I trust you to tell me the words that I need to hear, even if I'm not exactly appreciative at the time. I'm stubborn, but you know I'll come around. Right now, at twenty-one, I'm as old as you were when we first met, eh? Have I done you proud? I'll have to direct your attention to livejournal for five minutes to find out.
Ah, this is definitely an overused song, but… Onee-sama, whenever I hear this, I always think of you!
"When I am down and oh my soul so weary
When troubles come and my heart burdened be
Then I am still and wait here in the silence
Until you come and sit awhile with me
You raise me up so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be
There is no life no life without it's hunger
Each restless heart beat so imperfectly
But when you come and I am filled with wonder
Sometimes I think I glimpse eternity
You raise me up so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be
You raise me up so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be."
I love you, you're the older sister I've had for the last five years, and I'm hoping that you'll stick by me for five more. You were the best Christmas present when you asked me to become your Petite Soeur, and that present just keeps getting better with each year that we share together.
