Facebook has been a nasty distraction of late - sorry about that.
Well, my third anniversary in Melbourne passed the other week with mild fanfare at the pub. That means that I have been in my current job as an Industrial Advocate/Industrial Officer for three years, too. The first year was a bit of a rocky period at work, having had a relapse with my mental illness ... but things have improved and I'm running full-steam-ahead :o)
Not much else to report. The boss had a good word put in about me by a client she met at a meeting, and relayed that onto me ... it was nice to get some positive feedback - it says I'm doing a good job.
My flatmate and I are thinking of moving out of the place we're currently living in. The rent went up 17% at the beginning of the year and, although we didn't object to it because of the previous 2 years being on the same rent, we came to resent the sudden increase. If we don't have frozen rent at the end of the year when the lease expires (and a phone line), we have vowed to move out. Can't complain about the area we live in though.
I have been reading everyone's entries even though I don't add much to my journal.
My flatmate just had 17 days away in Port Douglas and had a wonderful time on the beaches and in the township. I missed him very much, and was pleased when he came home finally :o) It's funny how absence really does make the heart grow fonder :o)
