Airline rants and raves

Where is our country's courage in the face of adversity?

We've become a nation of cowards. We're now afraid of toothpaste and shampoo on airplanes. And why?

Because some asshats in the UK had stuff that could have made a bomb in their houses. Many of whom didn't even have passports.

My freedoms are being trampled on by the very government I live under. Unreasonable search and seizure is right there in the goddamned Bill of Rights. I'd rather take my chances that I'd die on a plane (more people die on the roads in cars, by far) than give up my freedom.

If we change the way we live our lives (in hindsight!), the terrorists win.

I think they're laughing their sorry asses off at our stupidity right now. So you can't take liquids on a plane? They'll find another way. They'll always terrorize us in ways we're NOT looking for, duh. Seems like Al-Queda has more common sense than the American people right now.

Yes, I'd like to be safe when I fly. There are better ways. How about having security on the flights instead of milling about the airport?

Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither, and lose both.
