A/N: Because studying for finals was not of my best interest, this was the result.
“Don’t worry, it’s my first time too,” you said. I believed you. I just did. But I knew it wasn’t true. I saw it in your eyes. The hidden smirk in your eyes (deep, deep in your eyes). You don’t care about the emotional scars it’ll leave, and that’s alright with me. Just as long as you’re getting what’ll satisfy you (and me too).
When I wake up, you’re still dead to the world (but so alive to me) and I get up to dress myself and leave. As I’m fixing my hair I hear you wake, and somewhere deep inside my heart stops just for a split second and then my movements quicken. While I’m searching for my keys you say, “Leaving so soon?” and this time everything does stop - you, me, time - and you laugh the most cynical laugh. Then I join in because I know how stupid, stupid, stupid I am.
The sound of our laughter makes me want to scratch my ears off or at least until they bleed so I can no longer hear my aching heart beat that matches the rhythm of your sinister chuckles.
And when I close your door I know it won’t be the last time I hear its haunting creak.
