First Fic
Title: Happiness

A/N: Yay, my first fic! Lol. I can't believe I broke my OTP, though. T_T Happy New Years!
Kibum was exhausted, splayed out on the couch, as he had been every day this month. Jonghyun had begun to come home late. The first night, Jonghyun wasn’t that late; it was eleven o’clock at the most. But the times began to become later. Nowadays he was arriving at one, two, and sometimes three in the morning. But this was different. Instead of laying on the couch, nearly dying of boredom, he was on the verge of tears, a phone in his hand.
There wasn’t really anything to figure out, the evidence was right there in front of him. Jonghyun had forgotten to bring his cell with him that day, and Kibum had heard it vibrating when he got home, and assumed it to be his own text, informing Jonghyun that he was almost home. He had walked towards the phone, planning on just checking the text to save Jonghyun an unread message. But, to his surprise, it wasn’t a text from him.
Message from: Kyung-Mi
Received at 9:37 P.M.
Hey, can you get away from him tonight?
Kibum had known all along. He had known ever since Jonghyun had come home late at the beginning of the month, looking at him like he never had before. He looked at Kibum with unfamiliarity, as if he was merely a roommate he had decided on keeping his distance from. It was as if his mind had selectively chosen to ignore the look Jonghyun had given him, and had continued to give him.
Kibum didn’t cry though. He wasn’t going to let Jonghyun see him with his eyes swollen, which would prompt him to ask what had happened. He wanted Jonghyun to stay happy, because if Jonghyun was happy, he was happy. And that was the way love was supposed to be, right?
So Kibum let it go on. He never cried, never questioned. It was only a matter of time until Jonghyun would leave him. He figured he should make the best of it, enjoy the one he loved as much as he could. Because Jonghyun’s happiness was his happiness, and because Jonghyun was happy with the life (or lives) he was leading, and that meant Kibum was too. No matter how much it hurt.
