Yesterday was the day that was the busiest for me in the whole week. I was planning to go off at 6pm, to get to Orchard on time to meet my friends from university for dinner, when all of a sudden, HUGE-ASS COCK-UPS (that sounds really, really wrong, zomg) suddenly appear!
First off, there was a problem with a case that was done in May (before I came in) - the logistics centre made a mistake, and I had to correct it - wasn't very difficult, but it was very troublesome. Then, the LC contact asked me to write something in the header text that didn't make sense to me - a brand new drive being taken as a repaired drive, wtf. And I had to go to my boss to ask him if it was the right way to go about it, and where should I "put" the goods. O.o;
THEN, another problem (of my own causing) resulted in me having to call Japan. I was stuttering on the phone, because I had to use keigo, but I ended up giving up on it 30 seconds into the call with my client rep. >.<; *major stress* And I think they might've put me on speaker, because afterwards, I was speaking with another client rep, who told me she caught my phone call just now too, and said my Japanese was good. O.O;;; I CAN NEVER SHOW MY FACE THERE AGAIN. D:
And before that in the morning, another client rep asked me whether I was ok speaking in Japanese to the customer, and when I was going to take over the account. And then I went and itchy-backside told her I was going to be away in Japan in December, so I'll only be taking over in January next year. And she said that I should try to go by the office when I'm there.
OH GREAT. D: But honestly, most challenging day in my work so far. Exhilarating! XD
But dinner was great. Hot and smoky, but great. Though sometimes, I really feel like kicking the guy in the nuts for not knowing when to stop irritating me, but I can let that go. I haven't cursed (as freely as I'd like) for a long time - boss's seated next cubicle to mine, so it's a good opportunity. Random moments FTW! <3 to
pookiesbleubass. LZ, Linda and Iggy (who organised this) for the good time! Really enjoyed myself. (I think Aston's fish is better, though. :p)
