Unsquare Dance

Eros - is beautifully shot all the way through and the first two segments (by Kar Wai Wong and in particular, Mr Steven Soderbergh himself) were very engaging and rewatchable. Antonioni's short was, unsurprisingly, dull, and with way too much pointless gratuitous nudity. But Robert Downey Jr and Alan Arkin are fantastic in Equilibrium (Soderbergh's film), which is totally mesmerizing and gorgeous.

Shaun of the Dead - is smile-worthy funny in the first 30 minutes and then it runs out of steam but keeps going and going, with much less energy than the energizer bunny. I couldn't wait for them to die by the one-hour mark.

The Trouble with Harry - is minor Hitchcock. It's not as bad as The Lady Vanishes but it's fairly lame. It's a comedy that isn't very funny, or a drama that isn't very dramatic, or a murder mystery that isn't very mysterious. When an old man goes shooting, he finds a dead man (Shot dead) which he assumes was because of his missed shot. And then EVERYONE arrives to see the dead body ("I couldn't have gotten a bigger audience if I'd sold tickets"). It's a cute premise that's entertaining in the first little bit, until you realise it's not really going anywhere and the characters are all vaguely uninteresting.

Wanted - is totally stupid but harmless fun (except to poor James McAvoy's face!). You can't expect much from a movie about a cult of assassins that takes its killing orders from a piece of weaving. I mean, come on. but James McAvoy finds that mix of vulnerability and bad-assness, which makes it worthwhile. Unfortunately, it tries to do the Fight Club thing(i hate my ikea furniture life), a little, but to not much success (I didn't like it when Fight Club did it, and Wanted does a lesser version).
