Uhmm...does anyone read this?
I was bored so I thought I'd share some updates to my manga collection...
I won the Excel Sage manga on eBay ^^ It actually cost me -$10, because I bought it for $50 and sold volume 8 for $60 (!!) on Amazon. Apparently it's out of print.
The two small square books are the complete storyboards to Nausicaa. It's just page after page of energetic, rough, expressive pencil sketches. Probably one of my favorite books ever.
Also got the Nausicaa manga too, its really wierd and different from the movie. The book on the end is Style School. It's actaully a quarterly magazine of amatuer manga-style artists. It's basically just hundreds of pages of submissions.
Here's a sample. Dark Horse is releasing this in English as a how-to-draw book series. they're up to issue three and you can find it here.
Also, I didnt show these earlier because I'm kind of ashamed I have them. This was a fad from like 9 years ago, so you can get most of these for $2 (which I did) from GoodWill or Amazon after people 'grow out of them'. Some of them are actually helpful...Well, here they are:
