Isn't it funny?
The less you care about a particular girl liking you, the more at ease you are, and the more natural you act.
And, for me anyway, the more natural I act, the more attractive I become.
While, around girls I'm highly attracted to I monitor my actions meticulously and act much more stilted. I don't act like the person I really am. And the girl feels that I'm more of a fake or generic person.
Hence, my level of attraction to a girl has an strong indirect relationship with my attractiveness.
For the math minded out there:
X-Axis: Level of Attraction to Girl
Y-Axis: Level of Personal Attractiveness and Magnetism
Slope: approximately -1
Hmmm.... maybe that's why the assholes get all the girls. They have an inflated idea of their own self-importance, and thus they deem themselves better than most people. By that notion, they rarely get nervous around a girl, (the X value stays low), and so they can be more natural and themselves (higher Y value).
While guys like me often really really like girls (high X value), and so are much more nervouse and stilted. (high Y value)
I can specifically think of several instances in my past where this has been exceedingly prevelent. I'm sure a lot of you can also relate.
...nice guys really do finish last...
