Towards the end of the debate when they kept going split-screen it was hard to see if Bush was real or if it was a SNL skit. His smirking and acting like a child was brilliant...for the Kerry campaign. Did you also notice that Bush didn't even remember to use real life examples until Kerry talked about families buyign armor for their kids? Then he totally had to bring out the "crying and praying with the mother of a fallen soldier story." Touching yes, but it wasn't as good as when Kerry talked about it FIRST.

Oh yeah, Bush's smirking was just ridiculous; doesn't he have people working for him who should remind him not to do that? Not that I mind, of course, since it's great for Kerry.

The fake tears were also so ridiculous, especially since, like you said, Kerry brought it up first. And I also loved that Kerry responded to Bush's story with another sentimental story of his own, and just sounded loads more sincere.
