Mod Post!!
Hello, my patient and helpful friends!
The time has come (at last, after many tragedies and struggles and angsting on my behalf) to unveil our fabulous gifts to the two writers who were so tragically left out of the So Damn Skippy First Annual 2009 Christmas Fic Exchange!
Thanks to the helpful and super sweet people who came forward in our time of need and got this together SUPER QUICKLY (seriously).
But first, a confession: So, this is why this is so delayed. Basically, back in January, I had an idea to make the pinch hits an EXTRAVAGANZA of GIFTS, filled with EXTRA SPECIAL STUFF just for our poor members who were left out! And so people volunteered. And there was joy. And two teams were formed and set about working on the two separate yet equally important gifts. A week and a bit later, they sent me the results, and they were magnificent.
Unfortunately, I realized with a lot of horror, that I'd screwed up and accidentally sent both teams the same prompt. Trust me. There was angst. I wailed to Skoosie and decided to quit as a mod for being an epic failure. I didn't, though. Instead, she and I, with our noble friend! (Whose LJ name is impossible to remember-- liquitextart maybe?) decided to rectify the situation with another story for the person who'd been accidentally forgotten (again).
And we suck. Basically. Because it took us ages. I'm really sorry.
Anyway, I'm gonna post the stories now!
If you worked on these pinch hits and I didn't include credit/your work, ohmygod I'm sorry, but there were so many bits floating around that I got confused! Let me know and I'll fix it right away.
Also, thanks for your patience in this community, you're all so nice and understanding as Skoosie and I fumble our way through these things!
