The good news is that if I would have swam JV yesterday, I would have won all of my events (had they all been induvidual). I'm heck of in-between JV and varsity.
50 fly (in medley): 35.4 [vs. JV winning time 37.4]
50 free (ind/200 free relay): 30.1/29.9 [vs. JV winning time 31.9]
100 free (400 free relay split): 1:12 [vs. JV winning time 1:14]
My medley came in third, mostly attributed to the fact that Independence really did have a shoddy swim team. So shoddy that I didn't even come in last in my 50 free! Hah (: Just I'm NOOOOT happy about my 100 time. Growl.
Well, after talking to Brian a little more, I'm officially on varsity. I'm well aware that right now I'm one of three unspoken "placeholders" (aka JV rejects) for two girls who are out, as in not advancing the team in any real way, but filling in so we don't have to have empty lanes, lol. But point is, I'm on the team for the season. But he told me not to worry about my times, because they'd be dropping suuuper fast because of all of the increased yardage/better technique coaching (smaller team) I'd be getting.
