bloody noses, broken bones
the sombre looking children
broken hearts in broken homes
the face of revelation
fading hair and brittle bones
depressed seniors in the mirror
broken hearts dying alone

all this ugly shit around me
as i clear my head tonight
stepping on cracks
in the moonlight
subtle things i don't notice
when looking so tragic
a rose growing up
through the cement

the face of resolution
to put down my things
to walk in the starlight
to wander in peace
