I was wanting something to do so I picked up a copy of Psychology Today. (09/02/2013)
I liked reading a lot of the articles, but
one peaked my interest.
Mostly, it was about new psychological catch phrases used today. "Mood freezing" being the first on the list.
toward the end there was this "
The Dark Triad".
It lists three negative personality types that, when combined, create a certain type of individual.
The traits are:
Narcissism,
Psychopathy, and
Machiavellianism.
The thing is; people with tese traits are more likely to be the ones climbing up a corporate ladder.
In my experience, this has been observable. People lacking in empathy, contentiousness and fair play are corporate executives.
Why this is disturbing to me is that it is THESE very people that are in control, dictating policy and strategy which directly affects everyone on the planet.
These people should not be in control for the very reasons that allow them to climb corporate (and political) ladders.
To see how you stack up,
take a quiz.
