Humans are naturally racist.
Ever look at how groups of people form? Circles of friends? Who eats with whom?
I don't mean Racist like Blacks and Whites although it fits sometimes.
I mean, people form into groups or are attracted to each other through the most part by their similarities.
How well do you conform to the group of friends you have?
Types of similarities: Of course there is ethnicity. but there are also: hobbies, recreation, work, career, tattoos, piercings, beliefs, music, hangout spots, behavior. Body type.
People with tattoos like to hang out with other people with tattoos.
Family people like to hang out with other family people.
dog people like dog people, bikers like bikers.
Punks hang with punks.
streetkids group with streetkids.
Hippies with hippies, jocks with jocks,
I notice that within these groups there are certain behavior types and differing criteria for "respect".
sometimes this behavior typing makes it exclusionary to other groups.
And that's where I find the problems, especially in religious, political and financial circles.
with this separation and segregation, misunderstanding, resentment, walls, , anger and hatred flourish and separate Us from Them.
And right there is the problems with the world.
We take care of our own.
But not them. Them.
