Yesterday, I saw
Let The Right One In,
(O), at the Valley Art.
You should go check it out.
A Swedish film about a 12 year old bullied and alone, quiet and pale.
Well, so is she, except for the bullied part.
She gives him a little nerve.
He meets a new girl, also 12.
Her first line is, "We can't be friends, Ok?"
He's like, "Ok, can we still hang out?"
It's a bit slow and predictable, but I rather liked it.
They play it so low key, that some of the scenes are surprising even though, if it were in a bigger budget and american-made-shlock, you'd yawn.
This one goes well.
