Guns are Scary (though not quite as scary as the massacre of 32 unarmed victims)

The gun-bashing pinkos are already at it!  Liberal bloggers (I will not reward them with links) are exploiting the unfortunate event at Virginia Tech in order to push their anti-gun agenda.  It pisses me off to no end.

Early reports indicate that the gunman lined people up and then shot them.  You can’t shoot and kill 32 people who are armed.  Virginia is one of the many states in which I am permitted to carry a concealed pistol.  Not, however, at the Virginia Tech campus.

Last year there was a bill considered in the Virginia State House that would allow people with the proper permits (like myself) to carry their guns on the grounds of public universities.  Unfortunately, it didn’t pass.  Had it passed, fewer young people would have lost their lives today.

Interestingly, the same Virginia Tech spokesman (Larry Hinker), who is today mourning the deaths of so many of his students on national television, APPLAUDED the failure of the bill that would have saved many of their lives:

“I’m sure the university community is appreciative of the General Assembly’s actions because this will help parents, students, faculty and visitors feel safe on our campus.” (Source:  Roanoke Times)

Had I been there, even though I have all of the proper permits and training, I would have been unable to do anything to protect myself or others.  No one could have.  They were all sitting ducks, waiting to have their names featured prominently on left-wing propaganda websites.  Apparently this makes the world a safer place.  I’m not sure how, but I’m sure the Liberal spin-doctors will work that out at some point.  Wait.  No they won’t.  The only thing they have is empty rhetoric and grieving mothers.  God, I love Liberalism!
