Ahaaaa!
hehe....so around this time last year i realized that all my entries were about Gabe...that's very very sad....
And although I do miss Gabe, this year isn't so much different because all my entries are about Brand New.
yesterday, I got a text message from my wonderful friend, Gilberto, telling me that Brand New is playing Starland Ballroom....Brand new is officially playing three places and one of them is JERSEY. I called my friend up and she picked up tickets in the presale...so....i will officially be there.
and i realized that they are totally coming back into the full swing of things...That date is June 20th. June 20th, 2003 was their cd release party for Deja Entendu in NYC, and thinking about it, that was the best show I have ever been to. They played 19 songs....and it was the only time I ever heard "Play Crack the Sky"....I was also getting nostalgic thinking about that entire summer....It was incredible: brand new acoustic performance at vintage vinyl; brand new cd release party; brand new 4 1/2 hours away in State College, PA; Brand New in Cali-fuckin-fornia; Brand New at warped; and then the summer ended seeing them 3 days in a row with Dashboard.... I do believe that was the most fun I've ever had in a summer, and this year may repeat it. it's funny: my friend went to Spain for two weeks, and she brought me back a purse that said "eileen's summer". Now that's weird to have a random purse with my name on it in spain (cause my name is totally spanish....and NOT irish)...this WILL be my summer!
I've also predicted that there album will be released June 20th because that is a Tuesday, and a really random day to just play a show (especially considering it's two months after their shows they already planned??)
So yeah...those are my two cents....Expect brand new to be out this summer....and expect to see me there.
