"I already said to go on without me. Again." Seely was having this conversation far too often for his liking.
"You can't stay here, it's a celebration."
"And the reason you can't celebrate without me is?"
"You're the guest of honour. It's your promotion we're celebrating."
"Hey, since I outrank you now, maybe I can order you to leave me alone."
"Nice try, but this was the sarge's idea."
"Somehow I doubt the sarge told you guys to go out, get drunk and drag me along too, especially if you're going where I think you're going."
"Well, no, but he did say someone needed to get you off base before you started growing roots."
"I go off base."
"Not enough according to him. So c'mon soldier, get the lead out."
