The first thing Seely had done once he'd woken up today was shower. A lot. And then some more for good measure.

Right now, though, he was shoving his things back into his bag with far more force than he needed to, because if nothing else this weekend had made any sense, certain parts of Saturday's radio broadcast had been far too clear

Aravis had woken with what could only be described as a crying hangover.

She knocked lightly on Seely's door, sighing slightly and wishing she didn't have to have this conversation.

"It's unlocked," Seely called out grumpily, expecting it to be room service or something like that.

Aravis poked her head in. "Hello."

Seely's back stiffened and he shoved his things just that bit harder into his back. "Hey."

She rolled her eyes. "Maybe I won't see you off then. Nice seeing you this weekend."

"Shouldn't you be saying that to Gavin?" Seely asked, his voice definitely not catching at all. Yep.

Aravis made a noise of deep exasperation. "Yes, Seely. I was the only sane one on the island this weekend, and I decided to leave you for Gavin. Honestly."

"Well, what was I supposed to think?" Seely snapped. "It's not like you were around to tell me different."

[notqueenyet]

"You could -- I know, I know, this is a drastic, revolutionary concept -- trust that I went insane like the rest of the island, and that I'm not going to leave you for Gavin, of all people," she snapped. "Nothing happened, in any instance."

"Oh," Seely said, somewhat deflated. "But the radio said..."

"Did you miss the part where the entire damn island went insane?" she asked, as though speaking to a small child. "Not to mention that you should already know that the radio is usually off the mark by a fairly wide margin."

"So you didn't fall in love with Gavin?" Because that was the important thing to focus on.

"He's Gavin," she said, yet again. "No. You imbecile."

[socksofcool]

"You did just point out everyone went insane," Seely mumbled. "So you could have."

[notqueenyet]

"I also said that nothing happened. I think I believed he was my long-lost love or something vile like that, yes, but it certainly didn't last. I'm also not an heiress, nor do I feel the urge to spend half my life crying," she replied, sighing.

Seely kicked at an invisible spot of dirt on the carpet. "Bond wanted to marry my mother...who was British."
