Room 418, Sunday Evening

Having decided not to monopolise the abandoned shack twice in as many weeks, Seely had snuck back early to his dorm, and spent most of the day moving his furniture out of the way before covering the floor with throws and cushions and lighting a number of lamps, as well as draping hangings on the walls and from the ceiling

Aravis, meanwhile, had change into one of her prettier modern dresses, and spent the better part of an hour trying to do something with her hair before giving up and just letting it hang loose.

As soon as she felt like she was ready, she snagged her things and headed up to the school, and knocked lightly on the door to 418.

"It's open," Seely called out, after one final readjustment.

Aravis carefully cracked the door, looking in. "...oh, my."

Seely beamed at her. "You like it?" he asked hopefully.

"I love it," she said, stepping in and looking around.

[socksofcool]

"I wanted to do something special," Seely explained. "And the weather's not right for outdoors."

"You did something very special," she said softly, reaching out to touch one of the hangings.

Seely pretty much abandoned his attempts at sprawling seductively to come over to her. "I'm glad you like it," he said softly.

"I can't believe it's been a whole year," she said, smiling shyly up at him.

"Me neither," Seely admitted, reaching down to place his hands on her hips.

"So what do people normally do for their one-year anniversaries?" Aravis asked, sliding her arms up around his neck.

Seely bent down to bump his nose against hers. "I'm not quite sure," he replied. "But I'm sure we can figure out something."

"Do you have any ideas?" she asked, smiling.

[socksofcool]

"Seems a waste not to take advantage of all these pillows," Seely murmured.

[notqueenyet]

"They look very comfortable," she said, nodding seriously.

[socksofcool]

Seely attempted to tug her in the direction of his recently vacated pillow pile. "They are."
