Although it is a lovely name please don't call a girl Bréanainn, it really is a name for a boy. It is also not really that unusual (for a boy), at least not in Ireland! As an aside the sína fada on the e means that that letter is elongated when the name is spoken (it also makes it sound softer). Keep it for a boy, it's not too good for a boy, it's a wonderful name for a boy.

1. I did not write the bits in quotation marks. Hence why they are 'quotes'.

2.You seem to have missed the healthy level of snarkasm this post was steeped in.

3. Where the hell did you come from anyway?

sorry, part of research i'm doing, that's all. my research is just not that funny as you can imagine hence my own loss of humour. still, you wouldn't actually name a girl that anyway would you?! as a warning aberdeen is also a city in scotland, i'm sensing a celtic connection here...

You have forced me to do something I do not like to do, and explain everything in minute detail.

The aim of this post was to horribly mock people who who would choose those names for their children. All the quotes came from the site in the link. After reading through the quotes, I decided that I didn't even need to say anything to mock them, they are just stupid in and of themselves.

So no, I wouldn't inflict any of those names on a child.

And for the record, I live in Scotland. I know that Aberdeen is a city here. I even kow that the name means "Over the Dee", the Dee being one of two rivers that flow through the city. Which makes it a very silly name for a girl.
