In a similar style of purple_kangaroo 's,
It's been a week and a half since I turned in my keys, and ended my residency in Portland. It's also been that long since I've moved in with my parents, seen Sarah, been anywhere past Springfield on I-5 North, or been to Powell's.
I've made a few new acquaintances, and friends. There's "Em G" from dance. She's 19 as well, very short, very not like me in that she's quite happy... but she's 'ight. I ain't gonna be picky about friends so much, cuz I don't have the ability to be. Then there's Ana... the CL girl who I started hooking up with, only to realize I couldn't be the mono in a poly relationship. It wasn't right. Now it's kind of fuzzy as to what type of friendship will ensue. Amy, a 30 year old mom, and friend of Autumn's [my manager at Starbucks] is in my Ethnic Studies class, and she, Autumn and I all hang out between 12 and 1 at lunch.
I started a new job last Thursday. I've worked Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and today. I've mastered the hot House coffees, Regular Hot Teas/Bags, Lattes, Soy Lattes, Mochas, and Americanos. I also made headway on the carmel macchiatos, and iced mochas. I still have yet to work with regular frappachinos that aren't Java Chip or Double Chocolate Chip. God there are too many drinks.
I made a nonfat, sugar free vanilla latte today. Still doesn't beat the nonfat, sugar free, cinnamon dulce latte that I had to go around the store with samples of and repeat saying "NSFCDL" 20 times over. One of the more complicated drinks I made today was a nonfat, single shot, no whip, 2 splenda latte with room. 1, N, -WC + Rm, 2SP, L.
If I had to repeatedly drink a coffee drink, I'd probably drink a single-shot, black/white mocha with two extra pumps of chocolate. But that would be about $1.20 more expensive than a regular mocha. $0.40 white chocolate, and 2 x $0.35 [I think] extra flavor. Crazyness.
Although I never really liked Portland, apart of me still remains there. I was much more free to dress and act as I wished, slept whenever/came home whenever, and never had to check in with anyone unless I chose to. While these things are still true, they are much more limited then they used to be, and have their own challenges and benefits.
I am not spending $975 in rent anymore, allowing me to spend the $675 to get out of my remaining 1+ year Sprint contract, move over to Verizon, get a new Verizon phone, and a new, 2 year contract.
WTF? Sprint has charged me the last two times for the Eq. protections. Fuckers. I'll be yellin' at them after Film.
I'm already starting to procrastinate on my homework. I'll have to turn in my homework in late tomorrow. That sucks. I had an extra two days to do it, and I didn't. Instead I did everything I could not to. It's already like 2/3rds done. It's not that hard even. Damn me.
There's a racist guy in this room [at Lane] - a black guy all discriminating against a *smart white girl with dreads*, a *lazy hispanic kid* and a *should be smart but isn't asian* girl. I was like damn, you're all stereotypical and shit.
I gottsta go. REvisions later.
