Back to school in a bit
Thanksgiving is the most boring holiday in the world. Seriously...it's soooo boring. You eat, and then you sit around with the family. However, my family barely speaks anymore...well, certain members of it...and the ones that do speak are on the other side of the state. So we sat around with friends. Which is actually a lot better anyway, but it's still an incredibly boring holiday.
I spent most of my weekend sleeping, writing papers, and trying to find an audition song for Anything Goes and Pirates of Penzance. I've got a few optinos I'm still shuffling around, but nothing that really stands out as amazing for me. I'm suddenly really really nervous about the auditions, too. It's because on Friday night I had a dream that the cast list was up. Some girl that went to Blackhawk and graduated a year ahead of me was Reno, Erin was Hope, I don't really remember where anyone else was...but I was cast as the Chinese lady. I don't even think there IS a Chinese lady in Anything Goes, but I was cast as her so I would be the comic relief...the whole 5'10" Chinese woman kills them every time. It was weird. But now I feel super nervous about these auditions.
I'm also feeling the stress of having a bunch of papers to write and such before the semester ends which is in two weeks. We only have one week of regular classes left!!! That also means that there are only two weeks before David comes home!!! :-D Happiness shall be mine!!
Oooh I wish it were snowing! I'm in such a holiday spirit this year! Wow, that sounded cheesy...but I am!! I'm so excited about Christmas!!! Well, the days leading up to Christmas at least. Christmas itself is usually a little like Thanksgiving, except you get to unwrap socks. I want to go sled riding!!! Oooh the hill is just waiting! And ice skating!!! Ok, now I really don't want to go to class tomorrow. But it's time for me to get back to work.
