[Sealed to Chloe]
I need to go to the forest. You don't have to come with if you don't want to. [He leaves 'but please come' unspoken.]
[Sealed to Alex]
Time for a Change. Gonna be out in the forest and on the grounds for the next while, if you feel like going for a run or something.
[After Changing, Derek can be found wandering around the

So when she spots the other wolf she stops dead in her tracks, nostrils flared. She's never seen another wolf here, certainly not one BIGGER then her. So, then, this must be another shifter, since normal wolves, even males, are smaller then her.
Wolf remains where she is, but sits, not wanting to appear threatening but not quite sure how to react at this point.]

But a quick scenting of the air proves that this isn't Duran - the fact that she even has a scent is proof enough, really - and he relaxes slightly. He's still obviously uncomfortable, though. He's caught her scent around before, the rare times he'd actually left his room since that whole zombie disaster, but he doesn't know what to do with another wolf shifter.
The only wolves he's met before were pretty intent on killing him.
He continues towards her anyway, though, because he can't help being curious, body language wary but obviously not aggressive.]

It's weird to see another lycanthrope shifter, here, especially one bigger then herself, but she doesn't plan on showing that.
When he gets closer Wolf stands in order to approach as well, scenting him and the air around him, tail still wagging somewhat.]

Derek stands still, though, letting her close the distance as he watches her curiously.]

She obviously doesn't know if he's a shifter from her world or another world, but he is a shifter. It's kind of nice to see another wolf, if not a little unnerving. Rea extends her head a little, nose still going like crazy.
Wolf is now very, very curious about you and your origins, Derek!]

He extends his head right back, though he's careful not to touch as he sniffs at her. She's most likely not from his world - he's heard stories that there's only one female werewolf, and she's part of the Pack - and he doesn't recognize her scent from the traces he'd always encountered around their territory.
Not that that's definitive proof, but it's enough that he's more curious than wary now, especially as she's shown no inclinations towards attacking.]

It's a smooth shift from wolf to humanoid, and once she's changed Sarea stretches her legs before crossing them, sets her hands on her knees, and looks back to the wolf, grinning a toothy grin.]
So. Which world are you from, wolfy? I doubt it's mine.

And he does want to know more about her. He shakes his head at her question, holding up his paw in the best approximation of 'one minute' he can do in wolf form, then darts into the forest. His change is a lot less smooth, and it's not something he likes to do in front of people.
A few minutes later, a tall, extremely well-built teenager with emerges from the woods, tugging a sweatshirt on.]
Yeah. There aren't too many werewolves in my world, let alone female ones.

[He's younger then she would have thought, but he looks like he's been through a lot, to. Rea rests her head on one hand, watching him closely, noting the minute movements he makes. He's uncomfortable, but wants to learn; that works.
His comment makes her frown, though.]
Okay. Mind if I ask why there are so few, especially females? Or... maybe the better question to ask is, is Lycanthropy a disease in your world as it is in so many books?
Reply
No.
[Then he pauses.]
Not really. Most people who get bitten just die. It's hereditary, passed down from father to son. That's why there's pretty much no female wolves. But I guess it does happen.

[She tilts her head a little, considering his words.]
Okay, so two main differences between our worlds. One, being bitten by me does nothing but hurt. Two, our genes are passed down despite our gender. I'm also called a Lycan in my world; not sure what you're referred to as in yours?
[Wolf pauses then, frowns, and literally facepalms.]
Okay, I'm sorry, kid, I'm bad at this. I always forget introductions. I'm Sarea, in case you ever want to get a hold of me for anything. Always nice to meet another Wolf, same world or not.

[He's not sure he wants to admit that he wasn't raised among werewolves, and that he really knows very little about them, save for what he's learned from people who aren't wolves themselves. And from the two he met who tried to kill him, but they weren't exactly a reliable source of information.
Derek blinks at her facepalm, then grins a bit.]
Derek. I forget them, too. And yeah, it is. I haven't met many.

[Rea would never hold his lack of knowledge against him, no worries. She's met wolves who weren't raised by their packs - and some of them were pretty cool kids!]
Same. On the boat - er, the last place I was, I was the only wolf, as far as I know. Nice to know I'm not quite alone, here.
[Wolf pushes herself up then, brushing herself off and grinning a little.]
Mind if I ask how old you are, Derek? You seem pretty young, but that could just be me.
Reply
Seems to work well enough back in my world, too, though most people don't know about us.
[Derek tilts his head at the boat part, curious.]
You were on the boat, too? And, uh. I'm seventeen.
Reply
[Rea blinks, tilting her head a little.]
You've met others, I take it? Seems like a whole bunch of us here came from that damned boat.
[Grin]
Yup, you're a young'in. I'm 22. I donno how much of a help I'll be, but if you ever have any questions about shifting and shit, feel free to ask. I like to think I've figured out most things by this point.
Reply
[He nods.]
Yeah, I've met a few.
[Mostly Kevas and Zeke. Well, Zeke probably doesn't count anymore, since he's a different Zeke.]
Seen a lot of others talking about it, too.
[There's a long moment as he considers this. He does have questions, yeah, but he's not sure he wants to admit to a lot of them. Especially 'how did you change so fast?' But there is a more important thing he wants to know about.]
Did you grow up in a pack?
