[Sealed to Chloe]

I need to go to the forest. You don't have to come with if you don't want to. [He leaves 'but please come' unspoken.]

[Sealed to Alex]

Time for a Change. Gonna be out in the forest and on the grounds for the next while, if you feel like going for a run or something.

[After Changing, Derek can be found wandering around the ( Read more... )

[Claudia had decided it was about time to investigating the ground out side the keep. She'd explored pretty much everywhere inside, and if she spent anymore time playing video games her eyes might implode or something.

In her wandering she stumbles upon a massive wolf. Like MASSIVE massive wolf Crap. She freezes, hoping it won't notice her. At least she wasn't wearing a red hood.]

[Derek does indeed notice her. He'd caught her scent a bit before she saw him, actually. But he doesn't recognize it, so he doesn't worry about her seeing him in wolf form.

When he catches her looking at him, he tilts his head at her and wags his tail.

See. Look how friendly he is. Zero need for freaking out here.]

[She looks at the wolf curiously as it's tail starts wagging. Her fear subsides. If it wanted to eat her it wouldn't look so cute, at least she figured it wouldn't. It'd be snarling or something, or at least be bearing it's fangs.]

Nice doggie, good doggie

[Her tones is hesitant]

[He's going to take the talking to him as a good sign, though saying 'nice doggie' to a werewolf is probably not the best idea under normal circumstances. Or at least, not with the few werewolves Derek has met.

But Derek's actively trying to look harmless, so it's the result he's going for.

He pads closer to her, sitting down next to her and giving his tail another wag. It's a lot friendlier than he'd ever be in human form - he pretty much has to, if he doesn't want to scare people or have them thinking he's aggressive. That, and it's easier to be friendly as a wolf. Even stupid people understand a wagging tail.]

[She holds out her hand to let him smell it. That's what you're supposed to do with dogs, so maybe it carries over to wolves. Either that or it'll bite it off.]

Guess this means your not a ferocious man eater.

[There's a bit of a snort at that - as if he needed her hand to get her scent - but he understands the gesture, so he leans in to sniff at her hand.

He shakes his head at her comment, letting his tongue loll out as he pants. This is the exact opposite of a man eater right here.]

[Did it just snort at her? Did she smell bad or something? She gets far to distracted by how cute it looks with it's tongue hanging out. She grins happily, and reaches out and starts scratching behind his ear.]

Your just like a really really big puppy, aren'tcha boy.

[...she's scratching behind his ear. He's a giant wolf, and she's scratching behind his ear.

Well, okay, he's a giant wolf who's spent the last few minutes doing his best to convince her that he's harmless and friendly, so maybe that's slightly more understandable.

He snorts again in response to her comment, though he knows she won't get that that's a laugh. Yeah, he's just a really, really big puppy.

...though actually, that ear scratching thing is kind of nice. But still. After a few moments, he stands, backing off a step and giving himself a shake.]

[Well she's still got both hands.]

Of course you are. They wouldn't let big scary monsters just run around out here.

She thinks about that.]

Except that they totally do. Well, it's not like I could out run you, anyway. Promise not to eat me boy?

[The last part comes out teasingly. Really why is she talking to a wild, not so wild animal?]

[Right. They don't let big, scary monsters run around here at all. He gives her a look, which should be fairly obvious even in wolf form, then huffs slightly in agreement at her amendment.

Derek's far from the scariest thing here.

There's another huff at her question, and, in response to her teasing tone, he leans forward on his front paws, lowering the front half of his body and wagging his tail. He's totally a playful puppy here. No intentions of eating anyone.]

[Ok, why does this wolf look like he thinks shes dumb? And that huff sounded like he agreed. At least he wasn't wearing a fez.

Claudia hunching down in almost a foot ball position. She playfully jumps at the wolf.]

[Because that was a dumb comment, Claudia, and he wants to make sure you know it. Which, fortunately, she seems to be aware of.

He gives a short, clipped yip, darting back a foot or two when she jumps at him, and then crouching down again. He's having fun now, which is probably made clear by his happy dog look.]
