BA in Sociology, concentration in Science, Technology, and Society. Graduated and discovered there's no market for professional undergrad sociology majors, and that I was too burnt out on school to do grad school immediately. Got a job in tech support, now am a manager there.
And here's my suggestion:
Sociology is a fun hobby, so to speak, but it's not going to be career-able. Unless, of course, you enjoy poverty and paying back your student loans for life.
What I would do is take something practical as a double-degree, or a minor. Maybe economics. Maybe business. Maybe Advertising/marketing. Look around the job-posting websites in your area and see if you can find anything that piques your interest...and figure out what it takes, degree-wise, to get one of those jobs.
When I was going into my second semester of sociology, I was also planning on grad school. However, by the end, I realized that I'd rather jump off a roof than do school any longer...especially since it would have, by default, meant double the student loans and an equally small paycheck for my troubles.
Oh...and nobody at the university told me until after I graduated that I would have a hard time getting a job with my degree. Le sigh.
