arashi astrology: matsujun

Jun 25, 2010 22:55

Continuing wtih my last post, I've decided to do the members' charts as much as I can. A bit of the googling on google.co.jp gave me birth times for almost everyone, so I'll be going through and doing their charts one by one. I'm not gonna run terribly in-depth, but this could get kind of words words words-ey again, so just fair warning. I calculated these by hand, but I'm not gonna run everything down here, so I'll just copy-paste some facts from CafeAstrology and cross-reference it with some of my books. I'm gonna try to not use a ton of lingo here (or at least explain it as best as I can), but if something's confusing (and if you see it hasn't been asked/answered in comments) then feel free to ask. Or google it. Maybe google it, then ask.

First up is Jun's because I'm biased as fuck because his has been boggling my mind. Turns out we have the same ascendant and that struck me as odd, since I didn't really see him as presenting himself to people in the same way; at least not initially. But while watching some old videos, looking through photos, and doing a translation, I think I definitely see it more. But we'll get into that later.

sun in virgo
Modality: Mutable (open to change, flexible, adaptable, versatile)
Element: Earth
Ruler: Mercury
Season: Summer
Metal: Mercury
Stone: Sapphire
Color: Blue, Beige
Anatomy: Intestines, the nervous system
Keywords: analytical, intelligent, reserved, critical, helpful, conscientious
Danger: Virgo people sometimes arouse anger and violence in others because of their tendency to interfere, their critical tongues, and their unemotional attitudes.

As stated, Solar Virgos like to analyze and interpret anything and everything around them. Obviousals, this is pretty obvious with Jun, right? Constantly picking up things here and there from performances to make Arashi's concerts better. He's always talking about movies he watched recently, and you can be sure he's analyzing every bit of the plot, the actors's performances, the cinematography; Virgos are good at picking up on tiny details. If you ever wondered where that perfectionist streak comes from, well, now you know. Remember the "Mago Mago Arashi" episodes where they were competing in rowing when he yelled at Hikaru-san for not telling him what he was doing right, and how he said he tends to understand in his head? That's Virgo for you. Virgo also suffers from a kind of constant nervous energy just below the surface: wondering about his future, how a project will turn out; anything worth worrying about will be worried about by a Virgo.

sun in ninth house

The ninth house is the house of mental exploration (try and tell me you're surprised. go on. just try). Have some copy-pasta!
You have a deep need to understand the world around you. You have high ideals and you have your eye on what's on the horizon. You are looking ahead, and at times can seem quite restless. You are proud of your knowledge and of your morals. Be sure to avoid self-righteousness in your enthusiasm to share your knowledge. When used correctly, you are a tolerant, adventurous, and curious person, and you want to see the best in people and in life.

moon in taurus
(Your moon sign is essentially the inner you, how you unconsciously react to things, how you view yourself.)

With his moon in my sign, Jun is extra stubborn. Also, with Taurus being an earth sign, too, he's also more particular about his appearance and how he comes off to the rest of the world -- to seem competent, stable, and most of all, useful. Notice how his ideal date always includes driving his foreign car and shopping? That's Taurus. Taurus loves the finer things in life, to be surrounded by things that are familiar and appealing, and isn't afraid to fork over the cash for them (Virgo is thrifty, but if it's something they can find use for, they'll go for it, sometimes spending to excess). Further, Taurus is extremely patient and loyal. When he says he appreciates the people around him, he means it. If you earn the trust of a Taurus, especially a Lunar Taurus, you've pretty much got it forever (or until you do something to really piss them off. And even then, it depends what it is and how badly you hurt them).

moon in sixth house

The sixth house is the house of service and health. What this translates to is: he's particular about his health and appearance, and if he wasn't happy in his line of work, he'd be really unhappy. He needs to feel useful and to be productive, and lives to help others and find fulfillment in his work.

ascendant in sagittarius
(Your ascendant is your public face, how you come off in a first impression, and is calculated by where the sun was rising when you were born)

So, like I said, we have the same ascendant and this was confusing because I didn't really perceive him coming off as spirited and full of wanderlust, but again, I definitely saw it when I went back through some translations and videos.

Remember when he randomly ran off to New York this New Year's when he finally had a couple days off? Hello, Sagittarius. Sag rising people are always doing stuff like that -- running off to random places, planning vacations they want to take and things they want to do while on them, and always on a constant quest for knowledge (compound this with analytical Virgo and Taurus's need to be useful and productive). Also, notice how he's always got an opinion about something? And that he can ramble with the best of them? Sag again. Most importantly: he wanted to be the "comedy leader" of Arashi, even if he wasn't exactly the prankster type. Sagittarius wants to come off as open to new experiences, pleasant, and as enjoying anything and everything life has to offer.

mercury in libra
(Mercury represents communication and logic)

Libra is all about justice, and with Mercury in Libra, he's constantly trying to be as diplomatic and accommodating as he possibly can. He's good at thinking objectively and communicating his ideas in a reasonable way to people, such as when he was telling the staff to think of some way to make the moving stage thing work when they were first thinking it up. No, I'm not pretending he doesn't have a sharp tongue, because he does, but a lot of that comes from being a nitpicky Virgo (and a stubborn Taurus).

mercury in tenth house

The tenth house is the house of career (show of hands, who's surprised?)
His home and comfort are the only things important for him. He is intelligent and speaks easily and cogently. Easily keeps many irons in the fire and concludes his activities. Moves house a lot for business reasons.

You are good with language, and generally use this talent in your profession. You can have an authoritative air about you, or you are talented at communicating and negotiating with those in authority. You might have more than one job going at once much of the time, you could change your career directions frequently, or you could be attracted to jobs that keep you on the move. You require frequent changes of setting or activities in order to remain stimulated and challenged. You are skilled at bringing fresh energy to your conversations or to your job, perhaps because you need the stimulation.

venus in leo
(Venus, for those of you not familiar with your mythology, represents love, emotion, and pleasure)

People with Venus in Leo love to be praised, to have the objects of their desire lavish affection on them, and to chase and be chased. Pretty much everything revolves around you paying attention to them. Really, Leo is all about boasting and being paid attention to and feeling special.

venus in ninth house

Finds love abroad or marries a foreigner. Refined mind, he likes the Arts, is carried away by beautiful things. He is very happy abroad.

You are attracted to, or you tend to attract, people of different cultural backgrounds. You are attracted to a partner with a sense of adventure. You are not especially clingy, and you expect a certain amount of freedom in a partnership. You want to feel like you are growing as an individual, and you won't be happy in a relationship that is restrictive or confining. In fact, you have a great love for the feeling of freedom or limitlessness. Your hips and thighs may be especially attractive! You appreciate a lover who is enthusiastic and not afraid to have a good time (with you!). You aspire to high ideals in love, but some of you might pursue sensations in love rather than true or deep feelings and attachment. Beware of a tendency for dissatisfaction with what you have, as the tendency to think that the "grass is greener" elsewhere can keep you from enjoying or developing what you have.

And before everyone freaks the fuck out about the "marries a foreigner" thing, I would like to inform you that y'all bitches can back up. Line starts behind me. Thank you for your consideration.

mars in leo
(Mars is about physical energy and assertiveness)

Mars here is all about creating and doing something significant. Everything he does, he puts his heart into and views it as an extension of himself; criticizing it is criticizing him. On the other hand, praising it is praising him. Seriously, all I can think of is how everyone's always telling him how cool the moving stage is and how happy he is to jabber on about how they came up with it and you can just tell his heart's about to burst with pride. Also, Mars in Leo people are extremely sexual.

mars in eigth house

The eigth house is about death, regeneration, and legacies
Sexually very powerful, he is also capable of tremendous focus and hard work. Sexually intense and deep. Is adept at professions requiring research, strategy, uncovering truths, and analysis. Arguments may occur over inheritance.

jupiter in sagittarius
(Jupiter is about luck and expansion, and is also Sag's ruling planet)

This is pretty much a double whammy here: if he's open, honest, and forthright with people, he'll be lucky in whatever he does. Like a true Sag, he's also big on being able to be free to do his own thing. So if Sag wants to run off somewhere, cultured Taurus might suggest New York, thrifty Virgo would make sure he had the time and money, and his Jupiter in Sag would be all about it because he's got the ability and freedom to travel.

BTW, there'll be less words form here on out, since these planets don't move much and there isn't a whole hell of a lot to say about them.

jupiter in twelfth house

The twelfth house is all about secrets, sorrows, and self-undoing (how pleasant!)
He is kindly, and does charity work. He is protected from life's rigors to which he is not immune, but he knows how to cope. He likes working in peace and alone.

saturn in scorpio
(Saturn is discipline, effort, and limitations)

Saturn in this position gives him a lot of friendships, but only a few close ones. He's always trying to learn. He's unforgiving. He's methodical. Yeah, no, that's nothing like him XD

moon in the eleventh house

The eleventh house is about hopes, wishes, and friends ♥
He appreciates the company of older people of intelligence and good counsel. These will help success in professional life. He has few friends and has difficulty in finding a partner. He is very reserved.

If you want to see this in action, watch his last appearance on Shounen Club Premium when he was talking with Taichi about adding a band to their concerts, doing songs slightly differently, and the rapt attention he paid Taichi. That whole appearance is like, this chart in video form, but that part in particular jumped out at me.

uranus in sagittarius
(No jokes, ok? We're not five years old. Uranus is liberty, both individual and of the ego)

Basically, Jun's a rebel and he loves to run off to random places and do shit and whatever he does, he does his own way.

uranus in twelfth house

He is very intuitive, perhaps psychic, and is attracted to unusual beliefs in religion or metaphysics. His need to be independent in thought often fights against limitations placed on him by others. During one period in his life, he may spend time alone in a foreign country or strange places.

Oh, and this with his ascendant?

He is always changing, is unstable. He is ready to innovate, to change everything. He is inventive.

neptune in sagittarius
(Damn, dude has a lot of freakin Sag in his chart. Regardless, Neptune is about spirituality and illusion)

Jun loves to travel. He likes foreign things. He likes water. Feels like I'm just rattling off things we already knew here, freelz.

neptune in first house

The first house is the house of self.

He is imaginitive and impressionable and can use this in artistic work. He tends to be absent-minded because he likes to daydream. He is fond of luxury and is sometimes lazy. A lot of his time is spent on or near the sea.

And while we're talking about Jun and the sea? More pictures of him surfing. tia.

pluto in libra
(Pluto is transformation)

With Pluto in this position, he's always trying to find new and different ways to connect to people. For the sake of having more than one sentence here, we can interpret this as him being part of No Border, and also coming up with all the different ways to bring Arashi closer to fans all around the stadiums in which they play. Yes.

AND I'M SPENT. Fellow astrology nerds will notice I didn't list aspects or anything; this ish is long enough as it is. Comments, questions, undying love or just unadulterated adulation for me spending my Friday night doing this? Holla back at me ♥

Sho or Nino are next ♥
