Dude, health insurance in evil. Deductibles are particularly evil.

I need health insurance for school, but I think the money I have that can go toward health insurance would more than cover the actual medical treatments I need right now, which I'll have to pay for in addition to the cost of insurance because Deductibles are INSANE.

I think I need a higher paying job.

I really want to go to pennsic.  Or just go on vacation somewhere. I've only taken about 4 sick days this year, and the bitchy other bartender has taken as many weeks. Oh sure, for "legitimate health reasons." There was the time she got strep, and the time she conveniently got sick over finals week. She's about to have her tonsils out.  She sprained her ankle.  She took off two weeks for the ankle, and then she took another day off for a broncos game.  Totally legit. I think this is why the bar is slow- the cutomers can't trust that there will be a bartender there.

For fucks sake. I probably could get the time off, but I'm not sure I could afford the time off. I barely scrape by most months.

Saturdays tend to be a little slow, so I have a new method: On Saturdays I wear a skirt. My tips tend to double when I wear a skirt. It's actually a pretty modest skirt, but there's something about it that makes men pay 40% tips.  I can't wear a skirt every night for several reasons:
1) It's hard to be modest when you are in a hurry. we keep some wines and liquors above the bar, and I have to climb around up there when we're running low.
2) My cute flat shoes have no traction, the floors are frequently wet, and I have to carry heavy things.  It's easy enough to play helpless and get a kitchen guy to carry things for me, but I don't enjoy playing helpless.

So now when I come in on a Saturday I get a hullabaloo about my skirt-wearing.  "Rihu! Wearing a skirt! Is there a party tonight?!" A lot of people think I'm dressing cute to impress Chris, the driver who works on weekends. He's cool, I'd hang out with him, but the speculation is mildly irritating.

Today I plan on running and that's about it. Yesterday's run was particularly awesome. I wish I lived so close to Cheesman so I could do that every day.
