Yarr

Saw my advisor today.  Officially changed to Phych BS. Made a bit of headway concerning the 46 Antioch Credit Hours.  Still doesn't look that hopeful, but at least he wanted to help, and put in a call to the head of the department. Soon I'll start studying on a couple of CLEP tests so that I can take some real classes next semester.  I may end up taking Chem 1 and Bio 2, plus both their labs at the same time.  If so, I may end up taking around 13 credit hours, two of which are a gym class, just for my sanity.

Labs are lame.  You only get 1 credit hour, but it's as much work or more outside of class as any 3-credit class.  The lab for Bio 1 left me with a sour taste- I feel like I didn't get anything out of it because the TA was kind of clueless. I'm really not into this whole More Work for Less Credit thing, which is a major reason I'm getting out of the Bio major, which has a total of 16 labs, if I recall. Maybe that's okay for Pre-Med students, but I'm not insane. I want credit for every hour I spend working through this game called education.

I'll either have to place out of languages or take a couple of semesters worth.  I'm tempted to leave that one until the last minute.  If it gets to the point where I have everything I need to graduate except for foreign languages, I'll gladly spend a semester or two just on that. Or I can start brushing up on spanish on my own.  It's not a CLEP test, I wouldn't get credit, but I wouldn't have to spend time in traditional, inneffective language classes. The selection of languages at this school is crap, too.

I need a new "Yarr" icon.  This one isn't quite expressing it.
