Back when I started writing fanfiction, LiveJournal was the main site for GazettE fics. (I'm just glad I was too late for the mess that was DeviantArt fic posting.) I mean, there was technically Fanfiction.net, but let's be real here. It was hardly optimal. Times have changed, however, and more and more people seem to be using Archive of Our Own to post their fics, even in this fandom. Personally, I find that AO3 makes it very easy to organise your history, you can bookmark fics to remember which chapter you were at, mark fics for later if you don't have time to read them, etc. I've had an AO3 account for a couple years already, but today I decided to start actually using it.
I've spent the last 5 hours posting a handful of my newest fics there, and my old, finished, chapterfic; Beauty and the Geek. From now on, whenever I write a fic, I'm gonna post it to both LJ and AO3. This way, I hope my fics will reach more people, and that more six guns can enjoy my writing.
What does this mean for anyone who reads my fics, but doesn't have an AO3 account? Nothing is going to change for LJ users. I will keep posting my fics here like before, and there will be no difference between these posts and the AO3 posts, except maybe the author's notes. You are, of course, free to follow me on either site, and read/comment on whichever site fits you best. I'm not abandoning anyone.
