ok lets catch up a little...
so i graduated a couple weeks ago. actually, more like just over a week ago.
last week i met with a magazine, shot some things, met with a management agency, assisted a little, and signed with a stock agency. today i dropped off a huge box to jupiter full of contacts and a dvd of images. i am anxious to get this first submission finished so i can start planning more shoots. the management agency i met with are people i have worked with before, and are going to take me on part time for a little while. they'll put my book up for jobs as they seem fit, but there are no contracts as of yet. we'll see how this goes (for the both of us) and if it goes well, i'll sign full time with them. they have some great photographers, and luckily, nobody who shoots like i do. could be a good thing.
ive been doing random shoots for OC weekly. its awesome and fun and funny all at the same time. its a paper i used to read all the time when i lived down there, and now i shoot some things for them. not huge money, but i get to shoot random bands and ice cream sandwiches. its fun to do something i would never expect to do.
the band is going good. we are on kind of a hiatus right now cause we need to save some money and write some more songs. i love playing, and i love the dudes. we have a show coming up in october with collesium and graf orlock. that show is gonna be fucking brutal.
jenn and i saw snakes on a plane yesterday. it was exactly how i expected it to be. entertaining but horrible. at times, a little too ironic but i enjoyed myself. right now im watching "small time crooks" on hbo. its ok. i think i liked it better when it was called "the jerk". ive been tivoing "curb your enthusiasm" and love it. i hated them at first, but they have totally grown on me. and project runway is a good one this season as well. we saw jeffrey at sunset junction last weekend. i wanted to ask him if he lost. i bet he did. i think michael is gonna win.
jenn is in vegas right now at Magic and the other fashion show things. i was gonna go but i have to work tomorrow night, and i dont have any money. shes out there showing companies her work, and trying to get some work. not a bad idea, and im sure she'll get some good stuff out of it. its all about confidence. she definately has the good work, now she just needs to bug these damn people.
here are some shots of the bike im rebuilding. im waiting for some new rims to come in the mail from ebay, as well as a new rear hub. riding around LA has gotten much better now that im getting the hang of things. i know when to go, when not to go, and what roads to avoid. i figure i'll get this bike rideable, and one day get a decent frame and build a nicer bike.
