the other day i had a meeting with the photo editor at index.
it went really well.
we shot the shit for a while, and she wants me to bring my book back by on friday for the other guy to look at it.
then i went to meet with some people from newsweek.
but they were so busy with the huricane news, they didnt have time for me.
oh well.
today was the hottest day ever.
it was like hot and humid as shit.
i felt like i had 1000 pounds of hot gross water on my all day.
i think its cause of the huricane.
today jenn and i dropped our books off at rollingstone.
then went for a stroll around central park.
ive never been there so it was neat.
but way too hot to walk.
we saw the al pacas and went to the guggenheim.
but it was in "installation" mode.
so they only had the permanent collection up.
at least it was air conditioned.
then we walked around by the nyu campus.
had peanut butter and banana sandwiches.
and went to a really cool record store (bleeker bros?).
dude had some reall good shit in there, but all was priced about what it was worth, so i couldnt afford anything.
we tried mexican food tonight.
no dice.
everyone tells me how bad new york mexican food is, so i had to give it a go.
and everyone was right.
i mean, it wasnt horrible, it was just not mexican food.
everything in new york is processed and fast.
the guac was out of a packet, the margaritas probably came from a machine.
and the chicken in my burrito was like fajita chicken.
now im home, about to eat a cupcake.
i donated 20 bucks to the red cross for the huricane cause my webhost will match my donations.
i hope emily and family are doing ok.
