Rogue needed to get away from the mansion for the day. She put on a turtleneck sweater to hide the inhibitor and called a cab to take her into town.
Jubilee had told her how Bobby was upset about no one remembering his birthday. She hadn't got him anything because of how John had reacted last time when Bobby and Rogue started to be friends again. She decided to screw it and went on a shopping binge. It'd take her mind off of things for a while, at least. That's probably why she came back with so much stuff. Plus, she was relieved that those she considered her closest friends were okay.
Later on that night, Rogue wrapped the presents in private and placed them outside of Bobby's room with a card on top.
I'm sorry I didn't do this on your birthday..I just didn't know if it was okay to or not.
She didn't sign the card.
Rogue apparently has a shopping problem, because he got a sweater, with a note tacked on it that said it'd match his eyes, a pair of jeans, three Nintendo shirts, and a pair of shoes.
