I'm very calm and content right now. I got back a little while ago from Crystal's very-be-lated Birthday/Beach party. I must say it was quite fun, and I made a new friend! :) Jess. She is so kick-ass. I actually use to talk to her at the beginning of the school year, but we never really talk-talked. Anyways, she's just really sweet and pretty and quite similar to me. She's also different though, she's a skater, a good one as a matter a fact. But me, I suck at skating, so I don't even attempt it, lol. So yeah, new friends are fun. :) The party was just all-around good fun and I think I really got a chance to show off good ol' Brooke. The fun and upbeat Brooke. I just went wild and was able to bring a couple people along with me and got them in a good mood. I love making other people happy, it makes you feel good and that you've accomplished something. Made a little difference, eh? I gave Crystal the newest Mxpx Cd as a gift, I'm going to force her to like it. Even though she's more into heavy-metal, I think she'll dig Mxpx, they've got a great sound that everyone can appreciate.

I don't think anyone on Lj likes me any more. I think now that I'm happy, no one wants to hear what I have to say. It feels like everyone's saying, "Oh, you're not depressed, so you have nothing interesting to talk about. You're too bouncy for me." And that may piss me off a bit...I mean, c'mon people, we need someone in this world to look on the bright side. 'Cause everywhere you turn people are talking about murder, crime, death, scandals, and such of the sort. We need someone to remind us that life is good. It's odd how all those people talk about "teenage-suicide-prevention" and then they go off and talk about all the crime going on. Which certainly doesn't help...Ok, I'm going to calm down now. My point basically just is, I'm still Brooke. The same person all you people met and liked at first. Just because I'm happy, doesn't make me a stranger.
