I need something new, something fresh. I need a new layout! *calls for sammi* :) Hehe.

Well kiddies, look what I dug up from one of my good ol' xanga's. :) I thought this was an interesting subject that I should bring to life again. So I'm going to re-post this excerpt from an update I made On Febuary 16, 2004 on my Xanga. I apologize if this sounds familar to some of you...Enjoy. :)
"When you ski basically every single day and you go on the lonely ride up the chair-lift you have plenty of time to think. So I've been thinking lately. I've been thinking about how people label too much and are sterotypical. Also how people get lost in rebelling and how people get lost in denial. God, people are complicated these days and they always will be. I want to talk about a little something I call "Punk" People think that if you have a mowhawk, over 5 zippers on your pants, and piercings then you're punk. But that's a sterotypical thing to say. If punk is about, now I want to stress this, BEING YOURSELF AND NOT CARING WHAT OTHERS THINK ABOUT YOU. Well then if you honestly are the Ambercrombie & Fitch lover kind of person and that is 100% you, aside from it being a(now I don't mean to label) a "prep store". Then you should wear that. So if someone who loves Ambercrombie wears Ambercrombie because that is them and they don't care what people say about it. Then doesn't that consider them "punk"??? You don't have to wear black and zippers to be "punk" Punk is suppose to be a state of mind. So if you're in that state of mind, regarless of what you wear, then you sure as hell are "punk" But some people mistake that state of mind with rebelling. "Punk" is not rebelling, that is anarchy. Anarchy is just stereotypicaly associated with "Punk". My point is that "Punk" isn't about the outside. It's what's inside that matters. So please don't label and stereotype people. Just because, and I've been just using this as an example, someone wears Ambercrombie & Fitch doesn't make them a prep. If they feel as though that clothing is them then good for them. Just like someone who wears tye-die and headbands isn't necessarily a hipee. If they feel as thought hat clothing is them, then once again, good for them. All of these people can then be considered "Punk" because they are who they are and they don't care what others are going to say...I know some people who get so lost in wearing black and shit trying to prove that they are "punk" that they forget that it's all about being who they are and they shouldn't care if others think they are "punk" or not. -sigh- As you can probaly tell, I think too much. lol. But I'm just trying to make a point that "Punk" isn't about the outside, for "punks" do not care about what people think about their outsides, it's about your inside and that "punk" state of mind you are in. Which is to be yourself and not care what others think about that."

<-Yeah, it's a mouthfull, but it's something that I'm glad I said. Which is why I re-posted it. lol. Plus, I had nothing else to talk about today. :) <333
