Anthropology.

While doing my anthropology reading, I was taking notes on the various types of human mating behavious accross the globe. Interestingly enough, most human societies practice polygamy, which can be divided into two separate categories. The first is polygyny, which means one man with many wives; the second is polyandry, which means one woman with many husbands. Only 16% of societies in the world actual practice monogamy, which is usually "serial" monogamy, meaning that there is a high level of divorce. The concept of being with someone, then breaking up, then moving on to someone else is still considered to be monogamy, so long as there are only two individuals staying together at one time. I don't know how these concepts relate to adultery.

The part I found most amusing, however, was when I accidentally wrote down monotony instead of monogamy.

..You don't expect a relationship to come of this, do you?
..No, of course not. You know that.
..[time passes]
..Wait, if you don't want a relationship, then why go through with all of this?
..Well, I meant not now.
..Right.
