alsacian sausages and irish road trips

so i was supposed to take a road trip through ireland with jenni and she told me last night that her parents don't want her to come. but that's dumb cause she'll still have to spend $300 on the plane ticket before taxes, cause they won't refund the ticket price just the taxes. so like... she's still spending the money. i'm just so disappointed because you know... i've been really hurting in the past month. i mean, i'm happy. i'm not depressed, but i really needed this road trip. i was going to be in my favorite country with one of my favorite people, far from any computer or cell phone. it was just gonna be me, jenni, and the irish countryside. i really saw it as an opportunity for healing. i have felt pretty unhappy at moments since drew and i broke up... understandably. i was just so excited to get away from the world with one of my best friends. and now she feels like she shouldn't come even though we already have a plane ticket and a car rental reservation. i'm just really sad.

i would also like to take a moment to say: i ate a sausage with ketchup and fries for lunch today. a real strasbourg sausage. BEST HOT DOG EVER. gray's papaya's got NOTHIN on strasbourg, france.
