so a recap of my eventful weekend:

oh wait. i hate when that happens.
well ok it wasn't totally void of stuff. friday night i went to a concert celebrating bob marley. it was at this place out in malibu. i wonder if i still owe kason money? i'll let adam take care of that. we were out until really late, and then i basically decided not to get up yesterday even though i should have been working on my oral. the slight hangover didn't help. i think i need to remember to eat a real dinner before going out and doing any real drinking... and i think i've said that before... ehn well. i'll learn someday.
last night i went out to claremont. had dinner with andrew at saca's. then we went to 21 choices. the new space is tiny. and there is no place to sit. so we sat outside in the cold... i guess my mom isn't too happy with him right now. i don't think i see what she sees, but whatever. i'm not gonna worry about it too much. he almost decided to go up to los altos with my the weekend after next for a bar mitzvah, but then he decided to stay and work on his thesis, which i guess is supposed to be done at the beginning of march or something.
mel and i then went to sara's. played caps as usual. that was a litle more painful than normal. and i actually lost. that hasn't happened in a while.
today i got back to go see my granparents. i'm still not sure what is going on with them. and i don't entirely mean health-wise. soemtimes they just don't make sense. like they haven't at all caught onto the modern world yet. i did learn that one of my great grandmother's "boyfriends" post my great grandfather and her second husband passing away is still alive. he turned 100 three years ago (which makes him 103 now). apparently he's still doing pretty well. doesn't move as fast as he used to, but can still travel a bit and things like that.
oh yeah. so one of my grandmother's neighbors came over while i was there. her first question when she saw me was "so which one do you belong to?" 'cause she didn't remember which were the names of my grandmother's granddaughters (which would just be me) or abe's (which are joni and laura, but that doesn't matter). her next question was then "so have you found a nice jewish boy yet?". oh boy, my favorite thing about old jewish women... she actually called back after she had left but while i was still there (i think she didn't expect me to still be there) to find out things like how old i was, and what type of person i'd be interested in. abe then shouts out "someone who is some sort of professional and makes lots of money". great. i'm really hoping this doesn't actually go anywhere since i'm not interested right now... i also had to listen to my grandmother comment on how she had already had my mom by my age... yes, well, you didn't go to grad school.
ah well... i tutored again this afternoon. i get such a kick out of this student. she has been doing a lot of sat prep recently, so she's not been too happy. oh yeah, and i made cookies tonight. peanut butter oatmeal chocolate chip. i think they turned out to taste pretty well, although i think maybe they needed more flour 'cause they were a bit runny. which meant they all smooshed together and i had to pry them apart when i took them off to cool. but that doesn't matter, right? i had debated making sugar cookies too, cutting out heart shapes and using red sprinkles to be cheezy for valentine's day, but that was going to be a lot more work.
ok i guess that is enough.
