Father's Day
Well, tomorrow is Father's Day. And as i was listening to the radio yesterday I discovered when father's day originated. I thought I should share it with at least a few people, cause I thought it was neat.
Father's Day became an official permanent holiday in 1972 when Nixon was in office. It actually kinda came about in 1909, i think it was, when a woman (i forget her name!) was raised by her father due to the death of her mother, and she thought that he deserved special recognition for this. So she came up with the idea! Isn't that cool?!
Well, I've just been busy with summer life basically. I'm taking a class at JSRCC to keep my mind working over the summer. Problem is, I'm leaving for Hawaii on the day we have our final exam. YIKES!
