MV112 Content Quiz #3
A little primer for question #4
First, some dictionary stuff:
Task: a piece of work assigned to or demanded of a person;. an undertaking involving labor or difficulty
Development:. a step or stage in growth, advancement; to make stronger or more effective 3. to unfold or evolve gradually
Issue: to enter into conflict, argument; at variance, in disagreement
Some clues:
During our span of life, we “encounter” / “are assigned” / “must consider/confront” certain tasks that are part of the progression of human development. Sometimes the task and the solution to the task may be pre-programmed for us and we have little input (e.g., the cardiovascular changes at birth). But often we do have choices in our approach to the tasks of development, and our “solutions” (on lack of) may put us at variance or in conflict with our life’s journey: in that case we may have a “developmental issue” so to speak. The question asks you to ponder movement across your life-span and consider a stage of life where you are presented a “developmental” task (movement related) and how your approach to the task may or may not give rise to a “developmental issue.”
