Character: Ulrich Stern
Fandom: Code Lyoko
Character Notes:
History: With Ulrich Stern it seems the more you learn about him, the less you realize you actually know. His family life, for example, is still very much unknown. Born from an assumably wealthy family, Ulrich seems to be an only child. His father seems to be the main bread winner of the family, and holds Ulrich to exceptionally high standards, never hesitating to remind him that he is either disappointed in A) his grades, B) his choice of friends, or C) both. Due to this, Ulrich’s relationship with his father his more than a little tense, although he does try to impress his father with his athletics, particularly his favorite sports of soccer or Pencak Silat, a style of martial art.
He attends Kadic Academy, a private and prestigious school at which he also dorms. His roommate is Odd Della Robbia, and though the two got off to a rough start, Odd is ultimately the best friend Ulrich has and his occasional confidant. His other closest friend would be Yumi Ishiyama, who he has way more than just a crush on. Jeremie Belpois and Aelita, the Lyokian girl, round out the tight knit group of friends Ulrich has.
Ulrich was the first of the group, other than Jeremie, to find out about the Factory and the virtual world of Lyoko contained within. From the get-go, he is wary of the dangers presented by Lyoko and its resident malevolent virus, XANA, both of which reside in the Super Computer located in the Factory basement. He is also, however, responsible for the inclusion of Odd and Yumi into the group, although both are largely accidental. He was the second team member to be virtualized into Lyoko and takes the form of a samurai.
At present, Ulrich is locked in a never-ending juggling act of school work, social life, sports, and fighting XANA, and sadly Ulrich is not the best juggler. Though his report card is often less than ideal, he continues to excel in his sports, and is a loyal and powerful fighter on Lyoko with his Super Sprint and Triplicate abilities.
Personality: Ulrich is a rather soft-spoken individual, often shy and more or less the poster boy for introverts. Though he does have a temper and can get riled rather easily if the right buttons are pushed, he generally keeps his feelings and his thoughts to himself. His self-esteem is not exactly what it should be and often accounts for his tendency to mope when things are not going well for him. All things considered though, he is a very loyal, and brave individual, often willing to act as a distraction against XANA’s attacks to buy his friends time. Like the muted green colors of his outfit, he is a relatively calm and logical individual, although he can be prone to fits of impulsiveness. Ironically, due to his good looks and mysterious nature, many of the girls at Kadic Academy have crushes on him, most prominent and persistent of which is the Principal’s daughter Sissi, who hounds him constantly. His popularity with the ladies, though unwanted, also makes him the target of the jealousy of some of his male classmates.
Other: I’m most likely taking Ulrich from very early in the canon, probably not long after either XANA Awakens or Teddygozilla. If this changes before he is accepted, I’ll be sure to make note of it in the OOC intro post, as well as try to allude to it in his own intro post.

Information:
1) He and his friends are fighting a malevolent virus named XANA, who inhabits a virtual world known as Lyoko. Also trapped on Lyoko is a young female sprite named Aelita, whom Ulrich and his friends regularly protect from XANA's monsters. Lyoko itself is contained within a secret Super Computer in the basement of an old, abandoned Factory.
2) His relationship with his father is not that great. His father expects a lot of him, and doesn't hesitate to voice his disappointment when his son comes up short in his expectations.
3) Later in canon he has a huge crush on his classmate/teammate Yumi Ishiyama.
Accessible to: Team Lyoko has access to all or most of this info, so that'd be IC as would the locks needed for 1. Anyone outside of Team Lyoko but still from the CL canon will probably be aware of 3.
For Psychics, Hackers, Readers, etc. outside of the Code Lyoko canon; 1 can be brought up provided it's in a lock, but prepare for Ulrich to go "o.O Buh-wah?" at you...and then try to lie his way out of it.
2 doesn't need to be locked persay, but Ulrich won't thank you for bringing it up one way or the other. The same goes for 3. Ulrich will likely log off not long after 2 is brought up and vehemently deny 3...and then log off. XD
