Worst. Post.Ever

No, really. THIS is it. And I can just hear the protests as surely, I've authored some dreadful posts. More antagonistic. Yes. More mean spirited. Yes. More insightful. No. But, my posts are not really known for insight (or anything really beneficial other than me preserving my verbal(?) diahrea for the ages). This is also the Laziest. Post. Ever. Note the coincidence.

And the reason that it is lazy is because it will be mostly photos.

Editor's Note: This post was written weeks ago but I killed it after spending way too long trying to get the pretty photos to line up. Now, by popular demand, it is resurrected and looks more or less "better".
Tonight, on the first night of my LA Kings Stanley Cup Run (and we will not discuss tonight's disastrous start), I went to a museum. Seriously. One of my favorite authors, Douglas Coupland (Generation X, The Gum Thief, JPod, MicroSerfs, Girlfriend in a Coma, etc) was doing a panel on his latest book, the aptly titled, "Worst. Person. Ever".

Most surreal moment of the night was when he took questions from twitter (and the room) and someone handed him a card with written twitter questions and the first one that he read was my throwaway question inquiring about plans for film adaptations of his books. Meanwhile, as you can see from the photo, I was sitting in the front row, no more than 10 feet from him. So, I'm sure that says something about modern society where instead of me raising my hand to ask a question, I tweeted and then someone copied it down on to an index card to be read to him. OH, and it was also my worst.tweet.ever. And please don't ask for my twitter account info because I do not share it (although I just say that as it will flatter me if you do). I am pioneering ANTI SOCIAL MEDIA.

After the talk, he signed books. We chatted briefly about hockey (he being from Canada) and Survivor and I probably creeped him out by sharing this photo that I took in the bathroom and suggesting it as a cover for a book.

One of his previous books was
and I noted the similarity. He chuckled. Probably out of pity that I took the time to photograph the sign in the restroom.
