the drops fall down
from the trees above

there is not a sound
everything is still

the birds search the ground
for the earthen worms

the sky is gray
with a warning of snow

the animals hide
from the chilly wind

[NO SCHOOL today! Because of ice or something, but around my place it's just raining. Not freezing rain either, like my mom claims. Around town though it is snowing. So no seeing bouncy or orange juice and no pep band. :( ]
