He sat there forever after the boy had left. It cried and kicked its legs and he ignored it, and watched the other people come through the station.
But he never left.
And sometimes he slept, and when he did, the whiny, insistant voice woke him up again. He refused - he looked at it like it was a disease.
But it was only a baby.
Who knows how long they'd been there before Albus Dumbledore finally picked it up, and comforted the flayed, wounded baby.
