The Biz Naz
Hey all- like I said, long time since I've updated cause I have no life, I mean free time. Since I last logged in I am now the Senior Researcher at the Business Journal. It's great to be my own boss/head of the department. Andy is my employee now as he got hired for the researcher position I left. I got a great promotion and a raise so work is not quite as bad as it was. Still, sometimes it really drags on me. Today I ended up staying at the office until 7 p.m. when I normally get off at 5 cause it's the day our paper usually goes to press and we were still proofing pages at 6:30. Oh well, thats how the news biz goes I suppose.
Things with Luke are fantastic, I miss him more and more. I didn't think that was possible cause I missed him so much, but it's true. He's most likely coming for a visit in Nov. and then returning to be here for a while in December. He got a great job with a global engineering firm so there are some big changes for us both up ahead. But we're in it together and I couldn't be happier about it.
I am still overall pretty stressed and I realize I never eat nutritional food cause I never have time to stop and eat a vegetable, so I really need to get some non-processed sustenance in my body before I turn into chemicals. Like Kristin says, at the rate I'm going when I have a kid I'll give birth to a preservative instead of a person. So needless to say, free time is still missing in action. But when I do get a chance to relax (an intake some food with real vitamins) I have been loving the 100+ degree weather. Actually I'm being sarcastic about loving the heat. But really, it's pretty nice to go for walks in the evening like Kristin, Glenn, Robert and I did last night. Hopefully winter will hurry so it can bring cool weather and my sweetie with it to San Diego.
