Schoolin' to Teach School
I continue to go to school in sunny Southern California.
My graduate classes officially start this Thursday. It's kinda of funny because I already went in the summer, and have been going since the start of September, but now I get to start the "rest of them". Yes, I will be going to 8 classes, and going to a fieldwork site twice a week. That's like 30 units. -.-
As some of you know, I'm planning on being an elementary teacher. So each week, I'm in the same elementary classroom (my fieldwork site), where I will be until around March, I currently have 4th grade. The kids and nice and fun, it's just a little tricky to keep them on task. I'm learning a lot from their teacher. Right now it's mostly observation, in January I will get to do more teaching. Although, the kids said they enjoyed the PE lesson (on different ways to jump rope) that I gave on Monday. :)
On a different note: I'll be back in Sacramento for Thanksgiving, hopefully I can grab a coffee or more with some of you.
