I meant to write a happy post here when I opened this window.
But then I opened another one to Yahoo! News, and saw that Kurt Vonnegut, by far my favorite novelist (with the possible exception of Tom Clancy), died this afternoon. It kind of puts a damper on my night... I mean, I first fell in love with his writing when I was forced to read Slaughterhouse Five ages ago, in jr. high.
As he would say, though--"So it goes."
*raises glass* To one of the finest American writers of the 20th century. We'll miss you dearly, Kurt.
