So, wait a minute. My last post was in July, and my last meaningful post was in JUNE?

... Oh, hell.

'S probably better if I just skip the chunk of summer I haven't posted on, and just update on the 2+ weeks I've been back in NorCal, eh?

*sigh* Can't do that... some biiiig stuff happened I haven't posted on.

1. Courtney/Derek Wedding--The Wedding That Wouldn't Come finally did just that--and it went off beautifully. Toasts were all incredible, the church looked amazing, as did Derek and Courtney and all the bridesmaids. Far as I can tell, everyone had a MARVELOUS time and was priviledged to be there for Courtney and Derek that day. Pictures might even one day make it to my computer.

2. DRIVER'S LICENSE!!!--That's right, the unthinkable has occurred. I own a car and a license. The license I received on July 11th, 2006. Seems everyone had pretty well given up on me getting it by the time the summer rolled around, and while I still have plenty to learn, there've been no casualties yet. And the freedom is something I don't think I could live without at my parents house EVER AGAIN.

3. Michelle/Reed Wedding--Oh... my... God. Must've cost a fortune to have that wedding on the beach for 300 people. I was amazed how many I knew--and how many more knew me. Kinda scary that way... Anyhow. Open bar and about 8 hours of dancing later, I'd have to say it ranked right up there with Courtney and Derek's wedding--and the next two events--for best nights of the summer.

4. Disneyland in August--I never thought I'd get so many of my closest friends together, much less at Disneyland. Steph, Lindsey, Jeff, Alex, Courtney, Derek, Katrina, Amanda, and Lam, PLUS Vick and his girlfriend and Steph's boyfriend Chris. And lemme tell ya, we made the most of it. We even got in both the fireworks AND Fantasmic. One last hurrah for the 50th Anniversary for me, and one hell of a great day with (almost) everyone I'm close to.

5. Also in August, Chevelle/Hoobastank/Nickelback LIVE--Oh. Dear. GOD. The music was incredible, the good times were amazing, and the headache/neck pain the next day were WELL worth it. Plus, pyrotechnics! Good stuff.

6. Two days later--A fond farewell to SoCal, possibly on a permanent basis so far as living there. Drove all by me onesy to SSU to check in to my dorm and move back on campus for the new semester. Of course, the first thing Whistler (my car) did upon arrival was die on me...

7. SINCE THEN--Classes kicked in, my roommates are awesome, and been hanging out with Elizabeth almost non-stop. Plenty of movies and shopping and dinners just hanging out, PLUS a whole day just hanging out at Marine World, and after that, in Vallejo with her family. Those folks gots ENERGY...sooooooo much fun. Anyhow, classes are beginnin to swamp me, but it's Labor Day Weekend, so I just don't give a flip. Plus, no one cares just short of 4 am anyhow.

8. On a side note, got me a job at Red Lobster a few days back, for which I have orientation on Thursday. Woot! Money!!!

Okay! There. You know now.

Maaaaaaybe I'll go to bed... or maaaaaybe I'll do homework.... or maaaaaaaybe I'll procrastinate all of the above... or something.

Eh. Later.
