Inspired by interactions in the Hotel California Panfandom RPG, this is a joint project between two women who adored the idea of Jack recruiting Buffy to Torchwood. Perhaps they adored it a little too much, but that remains to be seen.

OMG I love this! I'll admit, I was wary to read it at first. I'm a Owen fangirl and don't normally read anything without him, plus my Buffy love took a nose dive down first to "Just stop whining, STFU, or kill your self if being alive sucks that much!" then "DIE! DIEDIEIDIE Buffy DIEEEE!!!!" during season 6, and honestly I couldn't even watch any repeats for years and years and YEARS after Buffy ended, but this...just totally bought back my Buffy love! She was so....Buffy! The Buffy I fell in love with for 5 years and practically worshiped. All perky and cute and blond and randomly adding y's onto the end of words and casually talking about Apocalypse('s? es? sesses? whatever the hell the multiple of Apocalypse is) like normal people talk about the weather. Just so much love for this!

There is some very nice stuff here. I particularly like the way you convey the trademark Buffyverse combination of confidence and insecurity: you can save the world n+1 times, but you still worry about the first impressions you make on a new boss.

A castle in Scotland? What was she talking about?

Hmm... This got me thinking.... The Torchwood Insitute *did* once have a castle (well, more of a stately home really) in Scotland: Torchwood House, where the organization was originally founded ("Tooth and Claw"). No one ever mentions it any more, and Torchwood Two (which is based in Scotland) seems to operate out of Glasgow instead. What if Torchwood sold their Scottish estate to the Slayer brigade during a cash-flow shortage? Torchwood House does not look much like the castle in the S8 comics, but that could be hand-waved as a defensive illusion or rebuilding, either of which Willow's magic could probably achieve these days with minimum fuss.

I promised myself i wasn't going to add anymore WIP's to my reading list, but then you go and post with and put my two loves, Torchwood and Buffy in a crossover fic and i just couldn't ignore it ...

Brilliant and funny, i shall be hooked ... i can see it coming!
